Why retention beats volume in face-to-face fundraising
What a regular-giving supporter is really worth, and why charities should judge face-to-face agencies on how long supporters stay, not how many sign up.

The best measure of a fundraiser isn't a sales number. It's what the supporter says afterwards, unprompted, to the charity.
In the last two weeks of June, ten members of our Auckland team received Customer Service Awards, each one triggered by positive feedback from a supporter they had signed up in person: Dylan, April, Jackson, Charles, Daniel, Maui, Jett, Theo, Zechariah and the partners they worked alongside.
The feedback used words like professional, informative, respectful, delightful and a pleasure to speak with. One fundraiser, Jackson, was mentioned by three different supporters in a single week.
This is the point of everything we train for: a sign-up should leave the supporter feeling better about the charity, not just signed. Talk to us about how we report supporter feedback on your campaign.
